I do sometimes wonder if things would be the same, if missed opportunities come again.

-sinsinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00082648132476803815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8300358253579118867.post-79116788231507464012014-03-24T18:18:30.255-04:002014-03-24T18:18:30.255-04:00Destiny?Destiny?sinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00082648132476803815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8300358253579118867.post-65261383612301078262014-03-17T17:09:16.772-04:002014-03-17T17:09:16.772-04:00Interesting question... It's about a young woman, just about to graduate from college in the late '60's or thereabouts. She's out with her boyfriend who's about to propose to her. Just as he's about to propose, she accidentally spills her drink on him, he freaks out and has this big tantrum about it, and they break up. Second chapter, same scene - them at dinner, he's about to propose - but something happens, she doesn't spill the drink, he proposes, she accepts. The rest of the book follows each of those scenarios through the next 10 or 15 years.

SPOILER ALERT - IF YOU WANT TO READ IT, STOP HERE

At the end, her two selves are both on the road, late at night, and pass each other, going in different directions - literally and figuratively. The one who had married is now divorced and going for a career option. The one who had not married has just given up a big career move and is headed toward her lover.

I know this has nothing to do with your question, but this kind of question always makes me think about that book.

love,

sofia

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8300358253579118867.post-39318034987580270922014-03-17T14:04:17.554-04:002014-03-17T14:04:17.554-04:00Of course, everything is for a reason!Of course, everything is for a reason!juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14347955569618276489noreply@blogger.com
